Updates

What's up! Back in California and living the dream. The weather is beautiful, the women are gorgeous and the days are getting longer. What more can you ask for?

I've been back for 5 days now and everyday is a beach day. The Pacific Ocean is a little cold but that's it. There's no better place in the world, if you like warm weather, than California. Yes the people are kinda snotty and the traffic is horrific, but who cares when you can lay on the beach all day.

Above Paradise is still out there with no response. It feels like watching the facet drip water. Drip, drip, drip and Ahh! Stop it. You can't do anything. They all have the script, the manager, agent, and producer, but they say they haven't read it yet. That's because they're wiping their ass with it.

Maybe? It could happen. The paper is hard. If I had no other toilet paper... I would use it. I would, really... maybe I've already tried it?

I'm going back to the management company and they've agreed to rep me for acting, in exchange for helping them around the office. Which means if there's any casting call for a "weird Asian dude with a big head", they'll put their name on it, and send out my headshot/resume. So I have a manager for acting, kinda of... in a slave/barter kind of way.

Remember that 10-year plan? The first year was getting an agent or manager for acting. Well take that baby off the list.

Reviews, Reviews, Reviews

I feel like a jerk every time I think about reviews. I promised you guys some movie reviews and still... nothing. What a jerk-off.

I know. Well, I just got a hold of three Hong Kong VCDs courtesy of Jackie Cheung, my cousin, and I need some advice on which to tackle first. They are Love Generation - Hong Kong, City of Glass, and Skyline Cruisers.

All three have one thing in common. Besides the fact that they're Hong Kong movies and they have Chinese people in them and that Leon Lai dude is in it. Shu Qi! So hot. So, so hot. Does anybody know anything about her? Is she married? Dating anyone? What does she look for in a guy?

Like I have a chance.

It could happen.

I do know she starred in some soft-core movies. The funny thing is I couldn't find any. Believe me, I've tried. Last summer in Hong Kong, Jackie and I looked.

Please help me. Which movie should I watch and review first?

Girls

This has nothing to do with movies or Hollywood but I'm running out of movie topics to chat about.

Have you ever noticed how beautiful Asian women are in Asia? I've lived in the States for like 22 years now and the Asian women here are not much to look at. There are exceptions to the rule. Usually one out of ten will be hot. Now that one will be very hot and the rest will be plain Jane dancing in the rain and thinking of fame. There's no middle class. What's up with that?

The Asian women in Asia are gorgeous, supple, elegant, and cool. The reason for this... and this is only my opinion... Asian women trying to be beautiful in an American kind of way doesn't work. Asian women are beautiful in Asia in an Asian kind of way.

It's like trying to fit a round peg into a square, doesn't work.

Until next time, Ciao!
