Janice Man and Maggie Lee
Cinespot: Hi Janice, tell us your experience playing the lead character in See You in Youtube.
Man: Even though I have appeared in several films before, this is the first time
I actually took up a lead role, so in a sense, this is my "acting debut", haha. I am glad to have
the opportunity to get the role and try something new.
Cinespot: There are seven directors in this film. As an actor, would you feel it is
troublesome to talk to seven people?
Lee: It's not troublesome at all, more people means higher efficiency! Although it took some
time to get to know each other and understand which scene was written by which director, they're
all very helpful and explained the story to us clearly. Actually there are quite some deleted
scenes, and I really hope they can add them back to the DVD later.
Man: I feel that it is not easy to have such opportunity, considering that most of us,
including the directors and actors, are newcomers, so we all really valued this opportunity and
worked hard. Also, since most of us are young, it was interesting and funny working together.
Cinespot: There are so many "challenges" in the film. Which one is the most unforgettable?
Lee: It is definitely the one I participated in. In the beginning, I thought it's simply
a challenge to eat, and so we ate crazily, but then after they told us about the rules, we
thought we're going to lose.
Man: I like the scenes at the rooftop and the cemetery. When we did the rooftop scene,
there was only a futon to protect us and we were really on the rooftop of a nine floor building.
So it really took me a while to get used to the fear and I did cry. This is my first time
playing a lead role and I already got to challenge such a difficult setting, and I did finish
it successfully, that's why it was so unforgettable.
Cinespot: What about the cemetery scene, it is when the game runs out of control.
In real life, did you do something that is out of control?
Man: I don't play this kind of game in real life, so I haven't really done anything
terrible before. The most I did is something like the challenge of eating. I really enjoy eating
and I once ate six meals a day. But sure I wouldn't cross the line.
Cinespot: In the film, you have a "bodyguard", a guy who is always around and is willing
to do anything for you. Have you had this kind of friend before?
Man: No, perhaps I always give people a feeling that I am kinda reserved, I really
haven't had someone like that around me before. Now I force myself to smile more, hoping
to make people feel that I am nice. I think the bodyguard character in the film is really
nice, if it happened to me in real life, I would certainly be touched. However, it is hard to believe
someone like that exist in real life.

Cinespot: Talking about love affairs, Maggie, what would you do to attract someone you like?
Lee: I wouldn't do anything special. I feel that if someone is interested in you, you
don't really have to say too much and you will get together. It is just fate. Perhaps merely
a simple conversation like "how are you?" and "I am fine" is good enough to form the relationship.
Cinespot: So are you a romantic person?
Lee: To a certain extent. It depends on who I am interacting with, but certainly it is not with you, haha.
Cinespot: You are defined as a sexy idol by the media now. How do you feel about this?
Lee: I don't always pose a sexy image, it is like acting, it all depends on the role. I
certainly want to try out a different image, if you always ask me to dress in sexy dress, it is
quite boring. I hope to present my different characters to the audience. Moreover, the directors
know how to explore my other personalities.
Cinespot: There are many "challenges" in the film. Have you set up any challenge for yourself
in real life?
Lee: That's a good question. I couldn't think of anything at the moment, but I used to
challenge a friend in a Putonghua language test at school. He always said he was good at it,
but then he lost to me by one point in the test. Actually I didn't intend to make it like a
competition, but I just wanted him to know that it's no good to show off. It is great if someone
praises you, but it is simply annoying to brag about your own achievement.
Man: I couldn't think of anything too. I am a gutless but stubborn girl, so I seldom take
action. That's why I don't have any remarkable experience like that.
Cinespot: Both of you started out your career as model. In the future do you want to
do more films or stick with your modelling career?
Man: I enjoy modelling and so I guess I will spend more time on that. About films, it
all depends on the role. I am interested to do something like a unruly princess or selfish type.
Lee: I will start singing this year. Apart from acting, I also like singing a lot.
Right now I am having some training in singing and dancing, and then I'll wait for my
opportunity to come.
Cinespot: Thank you very much for talking to us.
Man / Lee: Thank you.
