Mobile Suit Gundam UC
"Mobile Suit Gundam UC" was originally a novel by Fukui Harutoshi, published in Kadokawa
Shoten's "Monthly Gundam Ace" in the serial since 2006. As the story and the robot design
are quite attractive, the release became very popular, and has so far sold more than 2 million
copies! The Hong Kong version distributed by Kadokawa Intercontinental Publishing (Asia) ltd,
also made a remarkable sales!
To meet the expectations and demands of GUNDAM Fans' , the creators decided to make it an
animation. It is directed by Furuhashi Kazuhiro, also the director of “Rurouni Kenshin”, “Hunter
x Hunter”. The theme song "Tears of meteors" is sung by the star of "Kill Bill", the Japanese
popular actress Chiaki Kuriyama. It is the first single CD of Chiaki Kuriyama and will be released on February 24.
The "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" premiere world tour will be first held on 2nd February at Tokyo's
Shinjuku as a national premiere and then go on to 5 other venues after February 20.
“Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn” World Premiere in Hong Kong will be held at The Grand
(Kowloon Station, MTR) on 6th February 9pm, concurrently with the Japan grand premiere.
Chiaki Kuriyama, Furuhashi Kazuhiro and Fukui Harutoshi are invited to host the ceremony,
and meet the Hong Kong fans. Moreover, there will be a "Mobile Suit Gundam UC" model
exhibition at the venue. Guests can enjoy the show with the latest models of Gundam Unicorn;
they will also receive a set of Digital Grade Mobile Suit Gundam UC capsule toy from Bandai's
and Gundam UC Limited Edition Postcard.
