Disc review(s)
Grade:(95/100) - A

Remarks:Excellent limited edition DVD produced by Shochiku Home Video. This film has a lot of dark scenes, but thanks to the good image quality of the DVD, viewers wouldn't find it hard to view. The DTS soundtrack is cool, but this is not an action adventure movie with a lot of special effects, so it isn't actually a must to have DTS (but I am sure no one will complain it being there). Good subs in general.

The second disc is full of extras (232 mins., almost twice as long as the feature film), but it doesn't seem to carry subtitles, so ... And one problem is that these long featurettes are not divided in chapters where you can select on the menu. The photo book is about 68 pages, only a few pages are in color (stills from this film), the rest (Yoji Yamada's award winning films in the past) are mostly black and white pictures. If you are a big fan of Yoji Yamada, this limited edition is a must get, otherwise I would suggest waiting for the regular edition.
