Even though she has retired for some years, Shim Eun-Ha is still the most popular actress in Korea. Starting from 1994, she has been in many TV sitcom. In 1998, Christmas in August, the new classic of Korea cinema, her excellent and lively performance has captured the heart of the audience all over Asia.

In 2001, there was a rumor saying Shim Eun-Ha was going to retire and marry to a businessman. However, a few months later, it is said that the wedding was cancelled. Up to date, there is no news about her return to the film industry yet.
