Shim Hye-Jin is a veteran actress in Korea. She has gained fame and success since the early 90s. In 1992, she won the best actress award at the Nante International Film Festival. She has been in many successful films, including Ginko Bed, The in 1996.

Recently, there is rumor saying that Shim Hye-Jin will appear in Wong Kar-Wai's upcoming project 2046.
