| Picture: | (24/30) - Suffers a lot from a poor original source print, colours are very poorly contrasted and constant dirt and scratches are present on the picture.

| Sound: | (25/30) - Decent sound here for a very old film, there was no need to make it 5.1 and they didn't so it sounds better as it is in original mono sound.

| Subtitles: | (16/20) - Some of the translations are terrible, and you would think an English speaking person would know that hey is not spelt hay and there are obvious mistakes that are annoyingly distracting. Other than that they are easy to read and well presented.

| Extras: | (6/10) - Not a bad set of extras, the info on the actors is interesting and the interviews are obviously very old footage and the sound is terrible, but the best interview is conducted with Andy Lau (lasting 11min) as he covers the beginning of his career to his ambitions, the other two interviews are very old and very hard to understand, as the Chow Yun Fat interview covers nothing new and does not mention God of Gamblers.

| Film: | (10/10) - At last an uncut version readily avalibable of this film, even though the source print is poor due to them having to find the uncut print, it is made up with the fact that it is the uncut print.

| Remarks: | While this is not a great DVD by all means as the picture is poorly presented, we are given a fully uncut version of the film and some interesting extras, but this film deserves more and it is obvious that no effort was given to re master this film at all. But this is the version I recommend. |
