Disc review(s)
| Picture: | (24/30) - The picture looks quite sharp in general, but I am not sure if it's the film itself or what, some part seems to appear little blurry.
| Sound: | (27/30) - It features two Cantonese audio track, DTS and Dolby Digital 5.1, it's always good to have DTS for a horror film, as you can expect the use of sound is prominent in this genre.
| Subtitles: | (19/20) - I only watched it with the Chinese subtitles on, and there is no problem at all, not quite sure about the English subtitles though.
| Extras: | (6/10) - The audio commentary is in Cantonese only, guests include the filmmaker, the prodcuer, the cinematographer and a film critic. The making of contains some short interviews with the directors of Three. Yes, all three directors of the three shorts are covered, and the good thing is that removable subtitles are available!
| Film: | (10/10) - It's the only director's cut version out there so far, and no VCD of this version is available.
| Grade: | (86/100) - B
| Remarks: | This special edition of Going Home DVD is well made. Although the overall quality is still not comparable to Japanese and Korean DVDs, and the making of is too short, it is already top notch among most DVDs produced in Hong Kong. |
