| Picture: | (15/30) - A very poor transfer, the artifacting got worse and worse as the film went along, it was almost unbearable towards the end 30mins (the best parts of the film) and I do not see why they did not even BOTHER to attempt to clean this up, this is poor picture at its highest. The film deserves so much more, and with universe's reputation I would expect more. You could pick up the VCD and get much better quality or even the PAL VHS which is much better?ne disappointed reviewer here.

| Sound: | (20/30) - Not as bad but still not great, there is no real sound split it is mono and it sounds mono, but this film could do with a much better sound mix.
| Subtitles: | (18/20) - Good, visible subtitles with the occasional grammatical error.
| Extras: | (4/10) - Well basically what all the old DVDs had, a couple of trailers for the film and other releases and star's files, which I always believe could withhold much more info than they do.
| Film: | (5/10) - This is the difficult part, this version is 105 minutes in duration, the Ocean Shores disc is 117 minutes and the Taiwanese tape is about 125 minutes, I fail to understand the massive cuts and I suspect that this transfer is taken from the PAL VHS release. I hope to get a copy of the longer one as I feel that the film is much more deserving than this DVD has fulfilled.

| Remarks: | A terrible DVD for a good film, truly disappointed with the atrocious attempt at a supposed DVD print of the film, the PAL VHS has better picture, and that is saying a lot, at times it looks like you are watching an oil painting as the artifacting is so terrible, recommenced film but do not waste your money on this poor excuse for a DVD> |
